DESCRIPTION:Tenemos como enfoque hablar sobre los esfuerzos de investigación que se realizan en sus estaciones biológicas latinoamericanas del sureste de la amazonía peruana.\n\n\n\n\n\nWe will talk about Latin American research efforts based at field stations in the southeast region of the Peruvian Amazon. \n\n\n\nEl PhD. Geoff Gallice (Estación biológica Finca Las Piedras) nos hablara acerca del proyecto: \n“Diversidad y Biología de Lepidoptera: Un modelo para la ciencia y la educación”. En una charla informativa que tocara los alcances del esfuerzo de investigaciones científicas sobre Lepidópteros tropicales: diversidad y distribución\, reporte de plantas hospederas y crianza de inmaduros de lepidópteros y la formación de estudiantes locales en Lepidopterología. Dr. Geoff Gallice (Finca Las Piedras Biological Field Station) will talk about his project: “Diversity and Biology of Lepidoptera: A Model for Science and Education”. He will address the scope of the scientific research effort on tropical Lepidoptera: diversity and distribution\, reporting of host plants and breeding of immature Lepidoptera\, and the training of local students in Lepidopterology. \nJulie Van den Broeck (Estación biológica Cocha Cashu) hablara acerca de: \nEstación Biológica Cocha Cashu: Punto Clave para la Investigación Ecológica y Educación en la Amazonía Peruana”. Nos enseñaran los esfuerzos de investigación científica y educación ambiental en una de las estaciones biológicas más antiguas y remotas del sureste peruano\, situada en el interior del Parque Nacional del Manu: punto con mayor diversidad de flora y fauna del Perú.\nJulie Van den Broeck (Cocha Cashu Biological Station Station Manager) will talk about: “Cocha Cashu Biological Station: Key Point for Ecological Research and Education in the Peruvian Amazon.” She will present the scientific research projects and environmental education in one of the oldest and most remote biological stations in southeastern Peru. Cocha Cashu is located inside the Manu National Park and in one area features the greatest diversity of flora and fauna in Peru. \n\nIng. Silvana Paola Gregorini Cebreros (Estación Biológica Malinowski) hablará acerca de: “Investigaciones y actividades que se vienen desarrollando en la Estación Biológica Malinowski de la Reserva nacional Tambopata\, Madre de Dios\, Perú”. Enfocado en el esfuerzo que realiza AIDER (institución que administra la Reserva Nacional Tambopata) para que la comunidad local y extranjera realice investigación científica en el interior de la Reserva\, a través de diversos programas\, becas y asociaciones.\n\nSilvana Paola Gregorini Cebreros (Malinowski Biological Station) will talk about: “Research and activities that are being carried out at the Malinowski Biological Station of the Tambopata National Reserve\, Madre de Dios\, Peru.” Focused on the work of AIDER (the institution that manages the Tambopata National Reserve)\, Silvana will describe the various programs\, scholarships\, and associations that enable the local and foreign community to carry out scientific research inside the Reserve.\n\n\n  \n\nTranslation/Simultaneous interpretation services will be provided by www.Communica.co.cr.\n  \nZOOM ID:  https://us06web.zoom.us/j/86075857863?pwd=bQqGTI180g1QCaCg9K114Of7bLrfIN.1
