A new study authored by 173 conservation researchers shows the important role field stations play in conservation. Mongabay just published an article about the study that features OBFS. It’s a quick read and offers good reasons for why financial support for field stations is so critical right now. “Field stations are described as underfunded and under-appreciated, and although much of the information and research used to inform global environmental policy and goals come from field stations, few explicitly mention them.”
