Lassen Field Station is a partnership between the University of California Natural Reserve System and the National Park Service. It is a collaboration intended to expand research and education within the park and throughout the region. The field station provides access to pine forest, wetlands ,meadows, streams, and lakes. The elevational range (5,000′- 11,500) at Lassen providesa unique setting to study climate change impacts. The dynamic volcanic landscape also provides a rich geological study system.
