We believe that some of the best learning comes through doing. The purpose of the College of
the Atlantic’s Alice Eno Field Station is to provide College of the Atlantic students with direct,
hands on experience in conducting research in field ecology. Besides participating in long-term
studies of island biology and human ecology, students have the opportunity to create their own
research program and take it from initial inception through data collection, analysis, write-up,
and presentation at professional meetings.
