The University Farm & Field Station in Hunting Valley is:
- A Field Station that hosts for credit classes, funded research, and co-curricular programs
- A working farm that produces fruits and vegetables for campus dining halls, local restaurants, and farm stands
- An event center with several facilities that can host 10-110 people
- CWRU’s Cross Country team course
The 400-acre property is primarily from two gifts, the Squire Valleevue Farm from the Andrew Squire estate and Valley Ridge Farm from the Wade Family.
The University Farm & Field Station has forests, ravines, waterfalls, meadows, ponds, a self-contained natural watershed, and several buildings and spaces designed for education, research, and recreation.
Although the University Farm & Field Station is primarily for use by CWRU faculty, staff, students, and alumni, we welcome the entire community to safely enjoy the property‘s outdoor trailsduring our seasonal hours. Pleae review the Farm’s Use Guidelines & Rules and seasonal hours here. Events spaces are available by reservation Mondays – Saturdays, 8 am – 5 pm
