In addition to courses, ASU BIOS also hosts a wide range of undergraduate and postgraduate research interns each year, including for its NSF Research Experiences for Undergraduates (REU) program.

The successful candidate will be required to teach a variety of courses, including Introductory Marine Ecology, Coral Reef Ecology, and Marine Invertebrate Zoology, and to supervise undergraduate research and laboratory activities. The role will also include co-ordination of the REU program at ASU BIOS. Additional new courses may be developed to serve the needs of the rapidly evolving and growing academic programs at ASU BIOS. The Director of Education for University Program at ASU BIOS and existing instructors will work with the candidate to identify any new course needs.
