Natural Areas Coordinator and Stewardship Specialist

The University of Vermont seeks to hire a Natural Areas Coordinator and Stewardship Specialist. This staff person will manage the University of Vermont’s Natural Areas which include 2,300 acres of designated conservation land across ten sites that support research, academic, and outreach activities.

The Coordinator will:

  • Manage the University of Vermont’s Natural Areas which include 2,300 acres of designated conservation land across ten sites.
  • Undertake management and site maintenance for access, safety, and ecosystem health.
  • Support existing and new academic opportunities using the Natural Areas for hands-on learning experiences for students.
  • Facilitate the use of sites for research across departments on campus.
  • Maintain and implement long-term management plans to support Natural Areas stewardship, education, and research.
